So after my own results of high antibodies a couple of weeks ago and talking my concerns theough with you amazing people on here ,i decided to get my daughter tested also, since we share the same health issues (fibro/chronic fatigue) which i might add ive never believed..bizarrely we have almost identical symptoms very often at the same time ..we are very close so we just put it down to that
Any thoughts would be very appreciated as it seems clear to me theres something going on here .
Thanks folks

Also her b12 looks very low to me ??
Infact all vitamins look worrying apart from the vitamin D
As a vegetarian she will need to work hard and continuously to maintain optimal vitamin levels
All plant based iron is non-heme and much harder to absorb
Heavy periods are common when hypothyroid and this can be a problem too
As you have high TPO antibodies (sorry missed that) strictly gluten free diet often helps or is essential
Wether it helps if only have high TG antibodies....only way to know is to try it
According to Izabella Wentz the Thyroid Pharmacist approx 5% with Hashimoto's are coeliac, but over 80% find strictly gluten free diet reduces symptoms, sometimes significantly. Either due to gluten intolerance (no test available) or due to leaky gut and gluten causing molecular mimicry (see Amy Myers link)
Changing to a strictly gluten free diet may help reduce symptoms, help gut heal and slowly lower TPO antibodies
While still eating high gluten diet ask GP for coeliac blood test first or buy test online for under £20, just to rule it out first
Assuming test is negative you can immediately go on strictly gluten free diet
(If test is positive you will need to remain on high gluten diet until endoscopy, maximum 6 weeks wait officially)
Trying strictly gluten free diet for 3-6 months
If no noticeable improvement, reintroduce gluten and see if symptoms get worse
No worries at all .Cant be expected to remember everything that gets posted
Yes totally agree she is taking oral iron spray .However i was also borerline anemic for most of my adult life because of extreme heavy periods and took me about 10 years to get ferritin from a 7 to 50 with suplimentation.
Thanks so much.I went gluten fee a couple of weeks ago .
