Which test is your doctor talking about? TSH, FT4 or FT3?

What are your latest test results, members can tell you if you are optimally medicated if you post them with their reference ranges, the above 3 tests are what we need to see. If you are in the UK then you are legally entitled to your test results, either by online access or just ask the receptionist for a print out.

Also, tell us what thyroid medication you are on as tests are interpreted differently with different types of medication.

Do you mean 0.6? If that's a TSH result (it's not a score) then it's good - but meaningless. It doesn't tell you how much actual thyroid hormone you have in your system. He's just bluffing, he doesn't really know.

If you are in the UK, no need for that. Just ask the receptionist at the surgery for a print out if you don't have online access to your results.

Here in the UK we are legally entitled to our results and your surgery will know this. A GP will have to have seen your results and possibly have to be asked for permission to hand them over to you, but they can't refuse and they can't charge, and you don't have to give a reason.

Just maybe ring the surgery, say to the receptionist "I'd like a printed copy of results of my XXXX test done on XXXX (date) please. Can you arrange that and I'll pick it up tomorrow or whichever day suits you. Thank you."
