The first episode was very informative there is a lot to know about antagonists of the vitamin you take and should not be taken together.
The first interview discusses fish oil, there is a lot to know about fish oil. MSC, GOED, NSF
these on the label help to show certain certifications. There are some rancid fish oils out there. DHA for brain and eyes and EPA for heart and joints. Dr. Calton said the two omegas compete with each other so should be taken separately in the previous episode although it wasn't mentioned in this one.
There was quite a bit about cbd oil as fish oil has some similarities. If cbd is legal where you live AND where you work, there is going to be many benefits from full spectrum cbd oil. Fish oil has three components EPA DHA DPA but cbd has 113 which means it may actually take care of something you may need. I think there is going to be an enormous amount of marketing in the future. He started this part of the interview saying that George Washington grew hemp in his garden It became a problem in the 1930's which is unfortunate since it now seen as so curative in many ways. I guess we will see what the pharmaceutical companies do about it.
The next speaker (annshippymd.com/ said 90% of her patients are low in cellular magnesium. And a build up of toxins is almost always the case if the patient is ill. This doctor recommends magnesium glycinate as it helps with sleep and also a bit of detox. Also recommended magnesium theanine because it benefits the brain. After studying the patients labs she often recommends liposomal glutathione and a binder like clay or charcoal to heal the gut.
In summary most people need magnesium, B complex, NAC, Milk Thistle, pectasol, coq10 and nicotinic riboside if the intention is to improve health and for maintenance. Detoxing is complex, each part need support which means gall bladder, kidneys, gut. All in all, it seems having a functional doctor to assist you is important.
John Hewlett, the last speaker promoted the use of nitric oxide as it is the way most nutrients will be carried into the body. Known as the body's regulator and also heals arteries. That, together with vitamin D, he feels will prove beneficial.
He said almost every chronic disease is from the depletion of nitric oxide and D3.
Arginine develops arteries to make nitric oxide so athletes often supplemented. It also increases lymphatic contractions. Nitric Oxide is the grandchild of nitro glycerine which sends it all to the heart but then you are depleting NO from the rest of your body. He mentioned that it is the way Viagra also works.
Hawthorn berry, panax ginseng, selenium, b12 are synergistic elements.
If anyone is reading this I posted a 4 minute workout by Zack Bush to build up nitric oxide.
Natural nitric oxide comes from amino acids like arginine and citrulline, beets or beet root powder and kale, but you still do not want to overdo it since it will become a free radical. B12 can be a buffer. Also, some people have a genetic problem and resist arginine so it may not be wise to take it.
I will post episode #3 and so far it has been very motivating. All of this affects our thyroid.
She was excellent and went into the exact supplements and even named good companies where you could trust what they make. Thorne was one and Quick silver is Dr. Shade's formulations. Getting cheaper brands may not be good as the second speaker in episode 3 exposes the pitfalls. annshippymd.com/
