T3/t4 combination
Some people split their T3 through the day. Not everyone. It's a matter of trial and error to find what suits you best.
I take all my 75 mcg T3 in one go in the morning, because that's what's best for me.
Hey you only take t3 only medication not t4 , because I'm thinking yo start t3 only because t4 is not really helping not converting
I take T3 only because I cannot tolerate any form of T4, not because I think it isn't helping. T4 does have its own job to do, even if you don't convert very well. It is better if you can take both.
Same here I can't tolerate t4 , so how did you start taking t3 and how you take it during the day with or without food , how much you take all together
So you only take t3 not levothyroxine, how are you on it please could you guide me how you build to that dose and how are you on it , is your blood test ok
I haven't had a blood test since 2014. And, then it was fine, but can't remember the exact numbers.
Yes, I only take T3. I'm better than I have been on anything else. It's not perfect, but given the circumstances, I think it's as good as it's going to get.
I did not build up to that dose in the conventional way because I had a doctor that had no idea what he was doing. So, we won't go into that. The correct way to build up your dose is to increase by 1/4 tablet (5 mcg or 6.25 mcg depending on tablet size) every six weeks. When you reach one whole pill, hold for six weeks and retest, just as a guide. Continue like that until you feel well. You have to learn to listen to your body, and what it's telling you. It will give you more information than any blood test can, but blood tests are good for confirmation from time to time.
I know my body, and I know that if I drop my dose by as much as 6.25 mcg, I'm going to get woolly-headed, put on weight, and my skin turn to scales. If I increase by same, I'm going to get palpitations, my hands will start trembling and my nails start lifting from the nailbeds. But, that's just me. We all have our own individual set of symptoms. You just need to learn yours.
