Firstly Lei is feeling much better, just stuck with a persistent tickly cough now (sorry for being a panicky parent 🙄) and secondly, we are at her bloods and a slight result in what has been requested are:

B12F

Vit D25

B12/Folate

Vit D

FT4

TSH

No FT3 AGAIN though 😤

How long has she been on increased dose of levothyroxine

Does she always get same brand of levothyroxine

Many people can’t tolerate different brands of levothyroxine

A weekly pill dispenser makes it easier to ensure actually taking levothyroxine everyday

Important to take on empty stomach and then nothing apart from water for at least an hour after. Man6 takewhen wake, can be more convenient and possibly more effective taken at bedtime

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .

Last dose of Levothyroxine 24 hours prior to blood test. (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)
