Hi! I just started t3 lio. I took 10mcg and it made me feel so tired!! Should i take less or more? I have high cortisol and high rt3. T4 medication makes me feel really bad and dont convert to t3. So doctor wanted me 2 try lio. 🤷‍♀️😊

I started on 5mcg per day. You need to start low and increase slow. 1 week at 5mcg per day. Then add a second 5mcg dose. Hold for 2 weeks. If your total dose is to be 10 mcg hold for 6 weeks and do bloods Inc Ft3. If your final dose is to be 20mcg keep adding 5mcg every 2 weeks either as separate dose or added to existing dose. Wait 6 weeks and then bloods.

They don't seem to know how to start patients on t3. Mine expected me to half my levo dose and add 20mcg t3 at once I think. She seemed surprised I hadn't.

There is nothing in your profile. Can you give us some more information.

Do you have a diagnosis of hypothyroidism?

If so, since when?

Have you been on levothyroxine?

Why are you on T3?

Is your T3 prescribed?

Are you taking levo plus T3 or T3 alone?

What were your results, including reference ranges (they vary from lab to lab), before going on T3?

What are your latest nutrient test results - Vit D, B12, Folate and Ferritin?

So much we need to know before we can help you.

Reference ranges are needed please.

What thyroid meds were you taking when those tests were done?

Have you had thyroid antibodies tested?

What's happening about your low Ferritin and Vit D. We need optimal nutrient levels for thyroid hormone to work properly, and before starting T3.

What do you mean by "My body dont do well on supplements".

What is happening about your very high cortisol, are you diagnosed with Cushing's Syndrome?

Cortisol is 801 ref 250-650

No cushings. Trying to figure out root cause.

I have bad histamine intolerance and Most supplements make me really ill. My ferritin is slowly getting better thru diet.

I was not on any thyroid med when tested. Doctors order. I dont have any thyroid antibods.

Tsh ref 1-4 (3.2)

T4 ref 9-20 (19)

T3 ref 4-6.2 (3.1)

Isn't it likely that you aren't converting well because your ferritin, and Vit D are low rather than needing liothyronine?

Online supplements seem to be better. You can check the ingredients for histamines.
