Is NHS T3 blood test free T3. It doesn't say it is on the blood results I get?

I'm thinking of getting a medichecks blood test for TSH T3 and T4.

But don't want to spend out on a new blood test if my recent NHS blood test is free T3 and T4.

My results:

TSH. 0.02(0.27-4.2)

T3. 3.1(3.1-6.8)

T4. 14(11-22)

Could anyone tell me please?

Thank you..

Post the actual results with the reference intervals and units. We should be able to work out if it is free T3 from this. It probably is but the numbers will confirm.

Those ranges look like Frees, yes. :) Total ranges would be totally different.

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)

If/when also on T3, or NDT make sure to take last small dose 8-12 hours prior to test, even if this means adjusting time or splitting of dose day before test

Is this how you did your tests?

As you are taking NDT .....

Low TSH is typical and doesn’t mean over treated

FT3 is very low

How many hours prior to blood test was last dose of NDT?

What about vitamin D, folate, B12 and ferritin levels?

I posted those results on another post Slow dragon. I was advised that although I waited 24 hrs between meds and blood test, (I didn't realise it should be 8-12 hrs before)

The T3 would probably still be too low.

Thank you for replying
