I am about to start a trial on Armour Thyroid (endocrinologist prescribed). Has anyone got any advice or tips about anything I should know/should be doing to enhance its chances?
I did try it a few years ago but was very unwell on it with extreme exhaustion and I put on weight and lost hair. This time (with new endo) we are combining it with T3 to avoid this. (I am already taking T3 and combining it with levothyroxine, so I will be just swapping the levo for armour).
Many thanks!

Are your nutrients all optimal: vit D, vit B12, folate, ferritin? NDT works best with optimal nutrients.
Do you already take your T3 on an empty stomach, etc. just like levo? You should do the same with NDT. A lot of people think it doesn't matter, but to be on the safe-side, and assure maximum absorption, always take on an empty stomach and wait at least an hour before eating.
Hi Dee1, I have just started taking armour thyroid on Saturday and I’m just wondering how you are getting on? X
Hi Dee1 I am desperate to find an endocrinologist who will subscribe this. I am in Surrey, England and don’t mind driving. Please can you let me know your Endocrinologist name, either here or by PM. Thank you.
