I feel like I post too much and have few answers to offer in return so apologies for that, I just can’t find answers anywhere else.
Ive only been on thyroxine since May on 100mg since August and gone up to 125mg this week (I’m 9.5 stone, 5ft7, 29yo female.)
My cycle has been out of whack for a while, I was having between 35-40 day cycles at the point of diagnosis but they were settling to 29-30, this week however I’m on day 34 and my skin has gone very dry again. Dry skin and my Cycle becoming more regular was the only real improvements I’ve been seeing.
I guess what I’m asking is, can symptoms improve and regress?
I’m gluten free, god map free, vegan, only drink water, take all the supplements I’ve seen advised on here as well as a few others. I’ve also been following ME lifestyle patterns doing little bits of different things with lots of rest in between and seem to be managing to do more in the day (I was exhausted all day then having energy for a few hours in the evening, potentially over exerting and then exhausting myself, (I don’t know if any of this is relevant I just really want to get better as I know we all do)
Thank you x

Yes, I’ve been taking 3x prescribed iron tablets a day (haven’t had repeat blood test so not sure of the outcome). Oral b12 spray which has significantly increased b12 but having injections next week. Vit D was good on test but taking over the counter daily just in case
Vit D was good on test but taking over the counter daily just in case
That's not a good idea. Excess Vit D gets stored and can lead to toxicity so we should only take what is appropriate to keep us at the recommended level of 100-150nmol/L.
What was your level when tested? You may or may not need to be supplementing.
How much D3 are you taking?
Are you taking D3's important cofactors - magnesium and Vit K2-MK7?
Your diet will mean that you must supplement methylcobalamin (B12) and probably Vitamin D and iron (need to test first - you can overdose on both). Are you eating enough fat (esp sat fat and omega 3) and not too much vit A (which can cause dry skin)
I’ve always supplemented b12, iron and vit d but b12 and iron steadily declined upon diagnosis for some currently unknown reason? Been prescribed injections for b12 but had to wait a long time and used a oral spray that got the numbers up, still feel rough though so trying injections next week. Iron I’m on three a day. I take an omega 3 supplement daily and eat avacado and nuts daily to try and get fat in but hardly hungry so some days Im guilty of not getting all my calories in although of late I’ve been working really hard on eating enough to stop sickness side effects from iron.
My iron does that too. I've had colonoscopy, barium swallow etc, but gastro had no idea why. I just supplement iron when I need to. I used to get a mate to text me to remind me to eat
