Which NDT is currently working the best for people?

After many years on Armour Thyroid, I switched to Naturethroid after Armour began having huge problems. Did very well on Naturethroid for years until they retooled and went south. Have been on NP by Acella for a little over a year and now they too are having problems. Is anyone currently using an NDT that they feel great on?

Hi Donna 5658, I also had problems with Naturethroid and NP Thyroid. I am trying out Thai NDT at the moment since none of the US NDT is working for me anymore. Some members on here are doing well on OTC thyroid glandulars such as Thyrovanz or Metavive. You could give one of those a try. Good luck.

Just wanted to say, I was so hoping for a flurry of posts with great recommendations, as I am on the beginning of my NDT journey.. Hmm, what is this telling us? No one feels they can wholeheartedly recommend? Or they are doing so well, they are not reading healthunlocked anymore? Suspect there is always a bit of that going on. Hope you get some answers. I am still on Nature Throid, it is doing something, I can't gauge whether it should be doing more by now. Good luck!

I think the lack of replies could also be down to the fact this is a very busy forum and sometimes posts just fly past with no-one noticing their existence.

Over the years, I've seen lost of people saying they do well on the various NDTs. But lately there seem to be a lot of people finding that the brand they were doing well on no longer works for them. I've seen implications that the source or quality of the main ingredient (thyroid USP) has changed and is affecting all the American/Canadian brands.

I have only been on Thiroyd from Thailand for 5 months. It has worked brilliantly for me, I can highly recommend it but isn't available at the moment, and may not be again. Also not everyone gets on well with the various makes, we are all different. This is the only one I've tried so far.

I’ve been on NP by Acella, I increased my dose because T3 still low. Although everything that seems being going in with that. It seems working for me.
