As you are a new member and there is no information in your profile, what's the reason you are wanting to take Vit K2?

I'm not sure whether you mean the form in which you take the supplement, eg tablets, capsules, softgels, etc. or whether you mean the 2 different forms of Vit K2.

There are two types of Vit K2 - MK4 and MK7.

MK4 comes from animal foods - high fat dairy products from grass fed cows, egg yolks, liver and organ meats. It leaves the body quite quickly and would need to be supplemented more than once a day. As K2 is fat soluble, MK4 isn't found in low fat/lean animal foods.

MK4 in supplement form tends to be synthetic.

MK7 comes from fermented foods like sauerkraut and natto and stays in the body longer so only needs supplementing once a day.

You can get both types as stand-alone supplements, or you can get a supplement which contains both MK4 and MK7. As Vit K2 is fat soluble, it should be taken with dietary fat. Some MK7 supplements come as oil based softgels (eg Healthy Origins) or oil based sublingual drops (eg Vitabay Organic).

There is a vast choice if you Google. Choose carefully. Avoid high street and supermarket own brands. Cheap is usually cheap for a reason.
