LT4/LT3 dosage

Hi

Is it normal to combine 125 mcg T4 with 30 mcg T3 daily ?

Is this dosage fine ? or too much ?

I know that dosage must always be in accordance with the patient’s status, however I just want to know if you are familiar with the above written dosage

There's no normal, it's just what the individual needs, so it's not possible to give an answer to your question I'm afraid.

I have been on 100mcg Levo plus 31.25 T3 (self sourced). It wasn't the right combination for me.

I experimented for months to find my optimal dose, but it doesn't matter what suits me, it's what suits the individual and that will vary greatly, so it wont help you to know what anyone else takes.

We all need our FT4 and FT3 at their optimal levels for us individually, and when we know we definitely need T3, having optimised our nutrient levels, then we add it low and slow, monitoring how we feel and our test results until we find the levels that suit us.

I think I may have overshot my sweet spot, so to speak, but I feel terrible if I reduce

I can't recall anything specific, I just plodded on and I realised one day that I was feeling better than I used to.

I am on T3/ 25mcg with 75mcg/ T4

You feel fine ? You split the 25 mcg T3 or take all at once ?

I take 20mcg T3 in the morning and 75mcg T4 at night before bedtime. I feel OK on this regimen in autumn and winter but I take 20mcg T3 in the warmer weather along with 75mcg T4.

I’m on 125mcg of T4 and 30 mcg T3 and I’m thinking of upping my

T4 to 150 mcg

I’d tried T3 of 40mcg I felt no better

FT4 12.1 (12-22)

FT3 5.5 (3.1-6.6)

But I’d rather my T four was higher

I expected a higher FT4 with 150 mcg T4 !Is there a reason behind the low FT4?

I take 150mcg T4 and 25mcg T3 - I was taking it all in one dose but my doctor has asked me to try splitting the doses of T3 to see if that works better for me.
