Question about changing to synthetic

Hi all

Just a question. So far it is totally academic, as I don't intend to change, but I want things straight in my mind well in advance.

I have seen news of a swine flu outbreak that has damaged pig stocks quite a bit. If it turns out that this makes NDT less available, what would be the best way to switch to synthetics?

So, if one is on 3 grains of NDT, that's about 27mcg of T3 and about 115 of T4. Would you just directly switch in one go?

Edited to add, maybe a switch to bovine might be more suitable, and I'm pretty sure the pharmacy could facilitate that.

Not something I would consider willingly. When you need NDT, you must have NDT.

Yes I agree, but if it becomes hard to get... Though I called pharmacy and they say they buy in several months' worth at a time so not an imminent issue.
