T3 energy/movement dilemma

I know I need to move about to help with constipation. I’m wondering how much is too much. If I over exert, aren’t I using up my t3?

What do you mean by "move about"? Hard exercise depletes T3, that will be a lot different from moving about by going for a walk for instance.

Somewhere I thought I read to take it easy until I hit my sweet spot. I'm just exhausted all the time and it gets worse when I try to stay busy. It might be in my imagination, maybe I never read it. I've been in bed for about 8 months and I'm trying to figure out what is my body just totally fatigued with loss of muscle mass and what is my thyroid.

Hey Coachgoeorge. I would think only Hiit exercise and the like would be classed as over exertion. Please do get daily brisk walks and try to spend more time in motion on your feet rather than sitting about. You don’t have to do anything (but some brisk walking) in fast motion, you just have to be active for more of your day rather than less.

I broke my femur as a child and was in traction for 2mths. Chronic constipation was a big deal for me 😬

That is an awful experience for a child, so sorry. I really don't have enough energy to take walks. I'm just trying to stay busy. I'm at the beginning of my healing journey.

Then you’ll never be in that bracket of ‘over exertion’ you are in the phase of rest and google! Lol That is to say, learn all you can about your condition, you might as well do something while you are on the sofa and eat those foods/drinks that will help your bowel movements and when you are optimally medicated your movements will correct themselves.

I just bought Mary Solomon’s book. Highly recommended by lots of folks. Maybe, it will keep me from bothering everyone with the same questions over and over

You could try CoLax, which is an aloe based and very gentle supplement to ‘ease the way’. It works very well for my husband, who is wheelchair dependant due to MS. It is available on Amazon, as well as many chemists and health food shops. Good luck with this very uncomfortable situation x
