Levothyroxine in Turkey

Does anybody know if you can buy levothyroxine over the counter in Turkey and what is it called? I bought some in Spain last year and started to self medicate and it’s helped a lot. Going to struggle getting away this year due to buying a business but my parents are in Turkey so I was hoping they’ll be able to get me some.

I think that you will find the product Levotiron manufactured by Abdi Ibrahim.

If liothyronine is available over the counter, I'd be amazed if levothyroxine isn't!

Odd that they only mention 100 microgram tablets but you can find mention of other dosages around the web.

Just so you are aware, the legal situation for the UK is that you can personally import for yourself and members of your household. Friends and other relatives are NOT covered. (This is only so that you are aware and know what might be asked. I have no idea what your domestic situation is!)

Hi, it’s my parents who have got me some so should be OK with that but they could only get 100mcg

I very much expect them to be OK. But if you do not live together, you likely to fall outwith the "household" limitation.

(I say this simply so that, in the unlikely event of being challenged, people don't say to the customs/border force person something that immediately raises issues. Don't lie but know where you stand.)

My sister is with them so they can say it’s for her as she is prescribed levothyroxine as well
