Silly doctor. Only looking at the TSH. Yes, the TSH is good, but if he looks at the FT3 he'll probably find it too low to support human life. At least, that's the way it looks without the range, but we absolutely need the range to be able to interpret the result. They vary from lab to lab so we need the range that was given with your result. But, you're probably a poor converter. :)

Well, I didn't actually give you any advice. I was asking for the range for the Free T4/3. :)

I’m grateful of any help but my last tests they only tested TSH levels as I have stated above and I understand that’s not good

No, that's very bad. But, what I was asking for was the ranges for the FT4 and FT3 that were done on 16th June, to get an idea how well you are converting. :)

How are your ferritin, folate, b12 and vit D levels too...optimal needed for good thyroid health and conversion T4 to T3?

What was range on FT3.....result of 3.6 looks low

What dose Levothyroxine are you currently taking?

Obviously just test TSH is useless

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially if Thyroid antibodies are raised

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)

Last Levothyroxine dose should be 24 hours prior to test, (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).

Is this how you do your tests?

Private tests are available. Thousands on here forced to do this as NHS often refuses to test FT3 or antibodies or all vitamins

Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have special offers, Medichecks usually have offers on Thursdays, Blue Horizon its more random
