ITT SURVEY RESULTS - NICE DRAFT GUIDELINE

THE RESULTS ARE IN ….

ITT recently asked you to complete a survey that would help them formulate a response to the NICE Draft Guideline, Thyroid disease: assessment and management.

After a HUGE amount of work has gone into analysing and presenting what YOU had to say, ITT are now delighted to share with you the results of the survey!

We had a total of 2022 responses from people who answered questions on Hypothyroidism, Hyperthyroidism or both.

In summary, 67% of respondents DISAGREED that the Draft Guideline delivers on its aim to improve quality of life by making recommendations on diagnosis, treatment, long-term care and support. BUT the survey threw up MANY interesting results!

ITT are now working the results and opinions into their formal response to NICE, which is required to be submitted no later than 5pm on Wednesday 17th July 2019.

I do hope that the NICE committee take these results to heart. Can NHS ignore patients voices when they tell us they want us to be involved in our care ? Keep up the good work and thank you to everyone involved in getting our views heard

Thank you Pamela0106 a fantastic and professional piece of work, which needs to be publicised widely. It clearly illustrates how much is going wrong for thyroid patients. And all this data was collected within 10 days? Imagine if this was multiplied up by asking the whole thyroid patient population.
