Blood draw

Hi my last blood test left me with a haematoma and a quite large hole which sized needle should I ask for?

My amazing phlebotomist always uses a children’s (paediatric?) needle. She first used it because I told her my veins were difficult to get blood out of. That worked a treat but I have bloods done in our local teaching hospital and I think they use a regular needle. I’m sure a lot depends on how good the phlebotomist is.
