Does anyone have thoughts about different NDT brands?
I was looking at T.MAN, but are there better ones? (No prescription).
Thanks! Xx

I prefer RLC's WP Thyroid but it's now too expensive.
Nature Throid, made by the same company was also fine for me, but seemed a tad weaker than WP.
I'm currently taking porcine Metavive which is fine, & also available online in The UK. It's available in two porcine doses, as well as two bovine doses. For me, the Metavive ii seems around about the equivalent to half a grain of WP, though there is no standardisation of dose as with prescription NDTs, so the batch I've just ordered may not be exactly the same. I take T3 as well, which makes it easy to adjust my overall dose of thyroid hormones from day to day, so I plan to stick with Metavive to see how I feel in the winter when I need more.
I found I was unable to tolerate even a tiny amount of Thyro-Gold as it made me itch all over & my lips burn. Thyroid S caused a similar but less sever reaction. I gave both away & read afterwards that some people take antihistamines to reduce the negative side effects, though I'd not want take another drug to counteract side effects when I can buy ones that don't cause any.
my wp thyroid just arrived today. i ordered that one as it has the least crap in it of any i could find.
TR by T Man has been discontinued. There may be some supplies left but once these have gone it will no longer be available.
There isn't really a "better" brand, it's what suits the individual. Information about the different brands here
I'm in the US and take Armour Thyroid but I understand there are multiple manufacturers of Armour. All thyroid in the US requires a prescription but I don't think that is the case in many countries.
I still take Thai TR. My current batch is good till 2022 so I stocked up till then. There might be something else coming along in the future but at least I’m good for at least a couple more years.
