New review close to acceptance

We have submitted a comprehensive review of our current thinking on diagnosis, therapy, individualisation and clinical trial validity for thyroid problems to the journal Drugs in Context. With the inevitable request for modifications, we have now submitted the revised text and hope it will be accepted. It is a very large review covering all aspects of the problems of dosing in an individual patient. It discusses the use of T4 and T3 in a way equivalent to the use therapeutically of drugs (as per the jounal title). At 7000 words, this is no small endeavour. In the event of publication I don't know if it is readily downloadable but will send a copy to TUK if not. Publication should be later this year.

Brilliant and thank you to you all for all your efforts. Hopefully common sense will prevail and your work will one day soon be influencing this rotten situation for the better.

The medical world would get on a lot better if all of us pulled together to discover the truth, rather than the unpleasant rivalries that seem to spring up, with some groups trying to grab the discoveries of others to themselves and denying the fact that others are working to the same end . It is a constant upsetting truth that petty jealousies seem to hinder progress, for no other reason than personal macho aggrandisement. A peculiarly American trait I regret to see, but have done over a lifetime's work in this field and others..

Very sad, isn't it diogenes ? When such ego's come before the health of fellow beings. I wonder how medicine ever developed, with such attitudes. I wonder how medicine will ever make progress now with the seeming disinterest in too many Dr's, yes much caused by time, or lack of, but when they are too often too arrogant to hear the patients and consider, just for a second, that the patient might actually be right, that they might just have the best handle on what is happening to them, when they are the ones experiencing the conditions first hand. What a crazy world.

I'm so sorry that you, and others, have had to endure this attitude for your lifetime.
