Our next meeting is Saturday 27th July, 2.00-4.00pm in Chorley town centre. Please note that our meeting will be in an UPSTAIRS room at the venue. We had 16 people attend our last meeting (brilliant, there was lots of lively discussion) but our usual downstairs room did feel a little cramped!
Re. transport and parking: Although very central (only a five-minute walk from the rail and bus stations) there is also plenty of free parking nearby. Right opposite there is a car park which offers the first three hours free and if this is full there is free parking on residential streets nearby.
Please do not feel that you have to attend for the full “meeting”. I prefer to call our “meetings” get-togethers as they are quite informal: a drink, chat, an empathetic space where you can meet others experiencing similar and share information and ideas. There is a broad range of experience within the group.
I think it is very important that you have the time and space to discuss and share your own concerns during the meeting. We have, however, to give PART OF the meeting a little more focus, recently decided to have a topic that we have decided mutually beforehand. The rationale behind this is that we can then perhaps achieve a bit more detail. Only if you feel you want to, you may then have the opportunity to bring along any information/ideas/recommendations or questions on this topic. The focus topic for July 27th is FOODS THAT HELP, FOODS THAT HINDER. We tried this approach at the last meeting and it worked well.
In addition, I always bring along a few general resources to browse.
If you would like to bring someone else along, especially if it's your first meeting, that’s fine.
If you would like further details please private message me. I like to do this so I can keep an eye on numbers and also ask for a mobile number, just in case.
We look forward to meeting you if you are able to get along.
