Well worth reading as a support to bring when expecting a doctor appointment.

Her posts are worth following - things are not as dire in Canada as in the UK depending on the province where you live, but they are moving in that direction. You can sign up for her blogs and they will be delivered to your mailbox, for those who want to receive them. I do, so I get them when she posts (she only posts once a week or less, so it’s not too bad for the email you get).
I'm afraid they are getting that bad. One Dr who ran a thyroid clinic was recently relieved of prescribing and the clinic closed. He wrote prescriptions for NDT, which are in the Canadian version of BNF, cared deeply for his patients, and did FT3 testing. The authorities did not like how much 'excess' testing he did nor the writing of so many prescriptions for NDT. The patients were organising to try and get the clinic open again.
Yes, I read about that - it was in Eastern Canada - where I live it is not really a problem - although they will no longer test for T3 at the hospital centres unless an endo requests it. So you are right - we need to be vigilant and good that Tania is so vocal.
Blimey that's harsh
Thanks for the information
Thank you, really helpful and well written
Thanks for the information.
Thank you for this. Some of what Tania says seems to relate to central hypothyroidism, or am I misreading this?
