ENT appointment done

Just an update 😁 had consultation today, asked about symptoms, put a camera through my nose to check my throat and can see that my goitre isnt effecting breathing/swallowing. I have an appt for a biopsy that is non urgent and one for a swallowing test, then back with her after to go through results. She said that even though its retrosternal they wouldn't remove unless it was causing problems and that lots of people have them growing down behind breast bone apparently so looks like I should hopefully just be monitored for growth after I'm all sorted with the biopsy 👍

That's interesting, I wonder if that's the reason I've had a slight sense of pressure on the breastbone for several years - a good while before being diagnosed. My heart was checked at the time but found no problem.

Thank you! Yeah I have that feeling too. I will post an update once I go back for results and find out how they will monitor it for growth, I didnt realise that it was quite common. I've only seen on Google that it isn't lol. I hope that you are all sorted 👍
