Hi all I'm battling a very rare form of cancer at the moment I will be having more surgery soon I've had my bloods done today so I'll post them Monday when I get results. My question is I'm using cannabis oil to try shrink tumours it's pure cannabis oil I've sourced it privately I take a drop under my tongue at night and same in morning no bigger than half a grain of rice. Has anyone taken it or does anyone know if it would effect my eltroxin. I make sure I don't take my cannabis oil until at least two hours after eltroxin.

Thanks

I am sorry you have not had many replys and wish you well. I have no experince but I use a pharmacist in Bristol called Buxton and Grant. They are a traditional chemist that also sell homeopathic remedys and have a wide range of experince and knowledge in regard to alternative medicine. Easy to google and phone. I imagine they are up to speed on cannabis oil although I imagine like when taking any combination of medicines there has been little data collected on interactions. By the sound of the way you are taking it I am sure it would be fine, just a matter of keeping an eye of your thyroid health. It might just be worth monitoring your pulse and temp to make sure they are not dropping which would be a sign of your thyroid hormones not working as well.

I know nothing about CBD. You can take or leave the remainder of my note as you are inclined.

It may be worthwhile to look into low dose naltrexone. (There is a HealthUnlocked LDN group, but it is not nearly as active as this one.)

There are very limited side effects/risks from what I found vs potential gains, especially with regard to malignancies.

My father found essiac to be beneficial in his battle with a rare brain tumor. Did it help with the tumor itself? Hard to truly say. But he did avoid a significant amount of side effects/secondary infections that commonly occurred with the treatments he had, enough that the doctors encouraged him to continue using it. Note, not all essiac is created equal. He used the following:

essiac.com/

(I am not affiliated with either listed organization.)

Hello Mauds, for information on CBD oil and the publishing of findings from laboratory tests, there is plenty of information on echoconnection.org.

For homeopathic help in your local area please visit findahomeopath.org

There is the Royal London Hospital of Integrated Health NHS in London who might be able to help you or there is one in Bristol too.

Hope that helps you. Blessings

I take strong cannabis oil (RSO) for Crohn's but only take it at night (or I'm off my head!). I take my thyroid meds during the day, so I've never had to think about this.

TBH, I'd say you're pretty safe. The biggest danger is related to drugs that thin the blood or reduce your blood pressure - cannabis lowers blood pressure.

Although cannabis oil has had an amazing effect on my Crohn's, it seems to have done nothing for my thyroid or adrenals (then again, maybe I would have been worse without it - hard to say). I'd say you're probably safe. Also, if you're using it sublingually, it's a different absorption pathway to taking oral levo.
