yearly blood test

hi I am new to this, I am due my blood test tomorrow morning, should I leave my Levothyroxine until my bloods are taken, I normally take my 100mcg at around six in the morning, bloods not being taken until ten, any advice would be great, thanks

We always advise leaving 24 hours between last dose of Levo and blood draw. So take tomorrow's dose immediately after the blood draw.

Also, do the test fasting - have breakfast when you get home - but you can have water (just water, no caffeine containing as it can affect TSH.

Feel free to post results, please include the reference ranges as they vary from lab to lab.

For a full picture you need

TSH

FT4

FT3

Thyroid antibodies

Vit D

B12

Folate

Ferritin

although you probably won't be getting all those tested.

Yes leaving taking thyroid meds until after your test. It gives a more accurate reading.
