PEMF therapy for stimulating Thyroid gland

Does anyone know what setting to use to stimulate thyroid gland? This is regarding a Pulsed Electronic Magnetic Field Mat/Probe/Pillow. Has anyone done this and been able to reduce their thyroid medication?

The worst thing you can do to a sick gland is stimulate it. It just burns out faster.

PEMF delivers short, magnetic, harmonic impulses that re-energize cells by triggering electrical changes to create a more balanced and vibrant state. This is different than therapies delivering an electrical current, which can burn or shock the receiver.

PEMF therapy works effectively to re-align the electric potential of our cells. Resting cells are negatively charged on the inside, while the outside of the cell is more positively charged. The flow of charges across the cell membrane is what generates electrical currents. It improves circulation by stimulating blood through low frequency electrical currents to cells are depleted from exposure to WIFI, electronic devices, etc.

RE: THYROID: PEMF restores mitochondria in thyroid to help mediate hypothyroid hormone production reducing requirement for thyroid supplements

I have been using it for my glaucoma and also sleep issues and early stages of osteoarthritis. It seems to reason, that not by "stimulating" the thyroid gland, but by re-energizing the cells, it would restore some thyroid function to an underactive thyroid brought on by stress, sleep deprivation, aging, etc.

The following is from a manufacturer of a PEMF device, so I take it with a grain of salt:

"Studies show PEMF/Pulsed Magnetic Therapy for Thyroid restores mitochondria & mediates hormone production reducing need for thyroid supplements for Hypothyroidism or Underactive Thyroid

The Thyroid function responds quickly to Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy, specially using EarthPulse™ PEMF devices. We propose effect due to rebound in mitochondrial integrity in sensitive endocrine tissues. We do not believe it is limited to thyroid gland function.

We were first alerted about improved thyroid function in June 2011 (when our return rate was 6-7%). It was reported to us that one of our users slept much better, but then his newly-better sleep deteriorated at around 10 days of nighttime use.

By pure-luck he was due to see his endocrinologist and discovered that his thyroid medication (taken at same dosage for two years) was far too strong. His dosage was cut by 1/2 and his sleep went back to 6-8 hours per night by 2nd or 3rd night, then deteriorated again after another 7 nights.

On a hunch, he went back to his endocrinologist and had his dosage checked a second time; his dosage needed to be cut by ½ again. His sleep again returned to 8 hours.

This is not an isolated case of Magnetic therapy being effective on Thyroid. We’ve followed quite a few of EarthPulse™ PEMF device users through this process since June 2011.

in June 2011, after we added a precautionary notice in our user documents “to monitor thyroid levels”, our returns dropped to 3.5%. The last year of v.4.6 and v.4.7 our returns were 2.7%."

So, instead of taking Cylomed to see if my hoarse voice is resolved (see below) and to help with my circadian rhythm, and since I own a PEMF mat with a probe and pillow, I thought why not target my Thyroid gland (the IMRS mat I own is extremely low frequency)) first to see what happens. I am trying to get in touch with a functional dr. who uses it in his practice for thyroid issues to see what settings, etc. he uses.

"Voice change is due to a thickening of vocal cords from mucopolysaccharide, also known as glycosaminoglycans, are sugar molecules found throughout the boid in mucus and in fluid surrounding joints. Tis buildup lowere th note prodcued by the voice obx. The thyroid hormone helps prevent this buildup so when the gland isn't producing enough, it can lead to a deepenng of the voice"

Well, none of that is very scientific, is it. It would take a lot more than that to convince me. Do you know why you're hypo? Do you thing it's due to stress or lack of sleep?

Anyway, let us know how you get on? :)

Thanks Grey Goose. I'll let you know. Stress and insomnia from caregiving dying husband for 2 years plus dealing with vision loss. I had been on .50 mcg synthroid for years with good levels. I'm contacting functional dr. On Monday to find out his protocol with PEMF. Theres about 300 articles and studies on PUB MED about PEMF. One was about PEMF and thyroid cancer nodules. It is a miraculous therapy tool. L

By Cylomed do you mean aciclovir?

Why do you think Cylomed would, or even could, resolve your hoarse voice?

Maybe I got the name wrong. It is the medication for T3.

T3, as a medication, is called Liothyronine.

Liothyronine is sold under several brand names including Cynomel, Cytomel, and Thybon.

Yes. I meant Cytomel.
