For the past year or so, I've been feeling that most of my body aches all the time, I'm quite active. swimming, yoga, walking , I used to do running but my hips really hurt for days afterwards so i stopped. I've obviously had aches and pains before, but this is just not going away no matter all the stretching and massage, foam rolling I do. I'm 44 but feel in my 70's. I had a TT about 5 years ago, I feel I'm well medicated. 75mcg Levothyroxine and 25mcg Liothyronine.
Just wandered if anyone has been feeling the same way, any advice?
Cheers

Numbers don't always mean we're on an optimal dose. An optimal dose is when we have no clinical symptoms, despite what the blood tests state. This is a link of clinical symptoms:-
What are your current levels for TSH, FT4 and FT3? And what are your current levels for Vit D, B12, Folate, Ferritin?
Muscle and joint aches and pains can be low Vit D. I would either ask your GP to test this (some wont as they say it is an expensive test and everyone in the UK has low Vit D) or do a home fingerprick blood spot test with an NHS lab which offers this test to the general public:
Post results (with units of measurement, i.e. nmol/L or ng/ml) for comment and suggestions of what to supplement if your level is low or deficient. The Vit D Council recommends a level of 125nmol/L (50ng/ml) and the Vit D Society recommends a level of 100-150nmol/L (40-60ng/ml).
Have you had change in brand of either Levothyroxine or Liothyronine?
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 tested. Also extremely important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially is slightly under treated
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. Last Levothyroxine dose should be 24 hours prior to test, (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw). This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)
If/when also on T3, make sure to take last dose 8-12 hours prior to test
Is this how you do your tests?
Private tests are available. Thousands on here forced to do this as NHS often refuses to test FT3 or antibodies or all vitamins
Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have special offers, Medichecks usually have offers on Thursdays, Blue Horizon its more random
Come back with new post once you get results and ranges
