Swelling or seroma?

Hi All. I’m 5 weeks post hemithyroidectomy and still have swelling just above incision site. Consultant said to give it a few weeks. Not sure how long a few weeks should be before I contact him. How do I know if it’s a seroma and can be drained?

mrscricket2019, I doubt that anyone here can properly answer your question. If you're concerned, please go to your local GP surgery to get it looked at.
