Hi please can you give me your views on the following blood results:
T4 - 15.2. (Normal range 12-22)
TSH- 3.48 (Normal range 0.27-4.2)
FSH 2.8 u/l
LH 7.2 u/l
Oestradil 720 pmol/l (normal range 46-1200)
Prolactin 567 (Normal range 102-496)
I have a pituitary adenoma so this explains the elevated prolactin result.
I told my GP that my periods are like clock work. I am 45 (46 in June) and they arrive on a 30 day cycle for 5 days. But GP wanted to check if my symptoms of extreme fatigue as well as other listed in my previous posts was due to menopause. Any thoughts? Do my results suggest that???
What are your thoughts on my thyroid results? I have a nodule on my thyroid which they said is benign as it’s a sub centimetre I think 🤔 they haven’t biopsied it though.
Any thoughts of views on my results will be welcome.
Many thanks!

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also extremely important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially if Thyroid antibodies are raised
High prolactin can be linked to autoimmune thyroid disease too
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)
Private tests are available. Thousands on here forced to do this as NHS often refuses to test FT3 or antibodies or all vitamins
Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have special offers, Medichecks usually have offers on Thursdays, Blue Horizon its more random
Thank you so much for your reply! Great advice! Sorry for the delay in my response, I found the notification for your message in a different email folder which is why I am just responding. Thanks again!
