I am currently on t3/t4 combo.

24mcg (T3 sustained release)

37.5mg Synthroid

My labs having not taken medication the morning of blood draw was..

Tsh 1.3 (.4-5.0)

Free t3 2.8 (2.3-4.2)

Free t4 .67 (.57-1.6) (very low)

But on the exact same dosage and with morning labs drawn a few hours after taking medications my levels are as follows...

Tsh 1.1 (.4-5.0)

Free t3 3.5 (2.3-4.2)

Free t4 1.1 (.57-1.6)

I am so confused how to dose. I am trying to get pregnant too and I know that a .6 free t4 is awful. I don’t know how I have more free t4 in the am when I take my medicine and how it gets used up so quickly when I am taking t3 with it. Am I converting the t4 very quickly and just need to increase the t4 dose?

Any help would be appreciated. Raising my t3 only makes me feel worse. So the amount I am on now is where I need to be. I just don’t know what to do about the extremely low Free t4 having taken no meds. Do I increase the dose?
