Just about to start NDT

Was surprised to hear just take the 2 grains 1grain am 1 grain pm, the full dose to start with. Is this normal does one not need to build up?

Does everyone take it twice or in one dose?

Thank you

The method I am familiar with is to start with 1/2 a grain in the morning and stay with that for a week. If no adverse reaction then go up to 1 grain and hold for 3 weeks. After that, add another 1/2 grain as a second dose later in the day. Always go by how you feel. If you are still feeling hypo, after another 3 weeks up the second dose to 1 grain, you would then be taking 2 grains total daily. Hold for 3 weeks. It's possible to end up on 3-4 grains so you would continue increasing in this slow manner until your symptoms resolve. :)

I should of said I am on T4 T3 at the moment.

I think its the fillers etc that cause my problems

OK if you are already taking some T3 then you know you can tolerate it. You should start NDT with 1 grain, and work up slowly adding 1/2 a grain at 3-weekly intervals. Best to do that to avoid going to quickly and crashing.

I just did a straight swop, and then twiddled the amount as to how I feel. I do take it in two doses, as I found it works better for me that way.

I was on Nature Throid and then that went sideways. Now on Thryroid-S from Thailand.

Interesting you say that. This is my first time on NDT I tried Nature Throid and after trying it for two days I felt so ill I stopped immediately, contacted my specialist after coming on here and seeing it had been reformulated and loads of people were saying it was no good anymore. He had also found via his sources the reformulation was causing widespread issues. I am now getting something new to try. Fewest filers etc. I had heard that Thyroid -S, I think the persons name is May, said the US had made her shut down. May be rumour but home you can get your supply OK.

I got 1000 in one hit! Should last me a while (and cheaper than 60 from USA!). I hope you find one that works for you, as to me it was a life saver!

Bless you and good wishes back.

I did not think it had a long shelf life?

This is such an awful condition.

Can you Private Message me where you got it please. I have found a Thai site but would like to know it is the same. I know they do not like general broadcasted names on the forum.
