I know guidance is to eat a dairy and gluten free diet, however how many of you do this because you have to, rather than from choice?
In October 2017 I had what the doctors diagnosed as Norovirus. Once I recovered from Norovirus, I started to (very quickly) have problems with a lot of the food I was eating, my symptoms being visible bloating as if I looked full term pregnant, nausea and even vomiting at times.
I went to a health food shop for an intolerance test to find out I had contracted aversions to lactose, cows milk, gluten, wheat and pork (amongst other food groups I generally don’t go near as I do not like them). I cut these items out of my diet immediately and instantly stopped reacting to anything I eat and generally feeling much better.
I still react occasionally if something is contaminated or has something in that i have an issue to without knowing, and my reactions now are very extreme when I have one, but they are very rare now.
Just wondering if people have contracted actual food intolerances as I wonder if it was coming anyway and that the Norovirus escalated the time before I got it.
It is a royal pain in the butt trying to find things I can eat, especially when I am out at a restaurant. There is no way I could become a vegetarian or vegan as I would have nothing I could eat 😂
