I have during last three months been transferred to TEVA levothyroxine and feel as though I have taken a huge dip in symptoms either I have got worse or this medication isn’t effective? Has anyone else had a problem with TEVA?

Thousands of people have terrible reaction to Teva brand

healthunlocked.com/search/p...

Many people find Levothyroxine brands are not interchangeable.

Get new prescription, ask that a note is added to all future prescriptions that Teva is NOT to be prescribed

Also put in a yellow card

yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk

Once you find a brand that suits you, best to make sure to only get that one at each prescription.

Watch out for brand change when dose is increased or at repeat prescription.

Many patients do NOT get on well with Teva brand of Levothyroxine. Though it is the only one for lactose intolerant patients. So although many hate it, a few love it

The chemist states that’s the only brand they can get out of their hands so a change of chemist is due I think.

Always get paper prescription, from GP reception.

Then you have options to try many different pharmacies

The large chains are often unhelpful

Small independent pharmacies are often much more willing to help

Once you find a brand that suits you, always get same one at each prescription

I have struggled for the last 7 years on levothyroxine ..I have posted here with regards to this . TEVA I was taking at 50 mg after 25 mg Actavis . All this med does is make me look like the Pillsbury dough man and deems me not far of sectioning .

However due to what's in this medication it renders my system toxic.

I discontinued 125mg levo .

120 mg duloxetine on 15th January. Has been a massive rollercoaster but not quite as severe as the side effects from the meds .

I am just to sensitive and am waiting to see local endo in may armed with relevant information for myself .

I think we can tell when something dosnt agree with us..

Shame the docs force us to take it !

😕

I too am bloated and am thinking it’s due to a change in brand as dosage upped to 75 umg from 50. I’m not going to put up with it. Have you managed to combat that 5 month pregnancy feeling? As I’m going to ask for a switch. What did you do ?Endocrinologist here no help so far 😢
