Undiagosed Thyroid Condition?

Hi all!

Recently I've been to the doctor to have a blood test for hyperactive thyroidism regarding my symtpoms, however the test has come back clean? I'd like to clarify that I suffer from vasovagal syncopy (fainting spells if you stick a needle in me) so the original test came back inconclusive and this is the second one.

I'm a 17 year old female and my symtpoms include:

Heat Sensitivity (TMI but I'm sweating at all times of day)

Sudden unintentional weightloss (My 53.5kg self has dropped 3 kilos within a couple weeks which technically puts me borderline underweight for my 5'6" self)

A fast RHR (can be up to 115 bpm)

I also am very on edge/anxious during certain times of the day, eat like I'm feeding a whole family and have pretty poor circulation. Plus I have thyroid issues on both sides of my family, my mother's side has Hypothyroidism(she's currently on meds for it) and my dad's has Hyperthyroidism.

I absolutely cannot think of anything else it could be and I have been misdiagnosed by this doctor before (currently waiting to hear back on a CT scan about a suspicious sinus lump they said was 'allergies' for over a year despite my benign tumours).

I thought I'd ask the thyroid community what it could be because hopefully you'll all have more experience in this matter than I do.

Many thanks!!

E x

Do you have the details of your tests? The actual numeric results - including reference ranges.

If so, I suggest you post them. If not, ask your surgery for a copy. They are supposed to let you have a paper copy for no charge. Do double-check that ranges are included as those ranges vary from one lab to another.
