Hello I'm new here after about a year of doctors telling me I had reflux they eventually did a mri which as come back with nodules on my thyroid they now want to do an ultrasound he said he would write to me with results in confused

The ultrasound can be done in your doctor's office. A wand is passed over the thyroid as you lie still. The doctor will examine the image and determine the location, number and location of the nodules. They will be able to tell you whether or not the nodules look suspicious for cancer (very slow growing). So the biopsy doesn't hurt?

They'll give you a shot to numb you and that does hurt a little. The biopsy any its aftermath was painless.
