Does anyone else have this issue with the finger prick home blood tests? At first my finger would just swell or the blood would clot or something, and it would just stop bleeding after one drop or maybe two at best. I’ve tried using the lancets on a different part of the finger which bleeds just enough, but it takes around 10 minutes to fill the vial (even if I do jumping jacks and stand up and hold my arm really low and all that) by which time the blood in it has coagulated. When I try to ‘gently invert’ it just doesn’t move, and if I pull a tiny bit out with a tissue it looks like gel or glue or something. I’m trying to drink enough water and even tried eating lots of garlic which is supposedly a mild blood thinner. I keep having the samples rejected but it’s really difficult for me to get to the closest clinic (which isn’t close at all) to have a nurse so it. Am I missing something? Is there something else I can do?

Possibly also stop vitamin K2 Mk7 a few days before. It might make blood flow easier
But I gave up after they changed lancet design a few years ago and and now drive 40 minutes to nearest clinic
I had trouble like this first time then added gingko to daily supplements and no probs since. Had to stop gingko as started tumeric for inflammation which is also a blood thinner and still no issues filling 2 vials in less than 5 minutes. Worked for me 🙂
