Can Free T4 chop and change and cause change in symptoms?

Good evening all. I'm hoping some of you very knowledgeable members can answer a query for me. Is it possible for free T4 to vary a lot? I can't understand how, in the space of a couple of weeks mine has gone from 33% of range to 69% of range (using calculator at chorobytarczycy.eu/kalkulator). TSH continues to rise. I feel so much worse in recent months and some of my symptoms have changed. I only took the Medichecks test because I had only ever had antibodies checked once (last year) which showed raised thyroglobulin antibodies and I wanted to make sure it wasn't raised as a one off. I am not currently diagnosed or medicated.

17 Jan 2019 GP

Serum free T4 level 10.3 pmol/L (7.0 - 17.0)

Serum TSH level 3.35 mu/L (0.20 - 4.50)

12 Feb 2019 Medichecks

TSH 4.14 mIU/L (Range: 0.27 - 4.2)

Free T3 5.18 pmol/L (Range: 3.1 - 6.8)

Free T4 18.900 pmol/L (Range: 12 - 22)

Thyroglobulin Antibody 299.000 kU/L (Range: < 115)

Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies <9.0 kIU/L (Range: < 34)

Thanks for reading.

I expect these are the key.

Thyroglobulin Antibody 299.000 kU/L (Range: < 115

When your thyroid is under attack from your immune system t4 and t3 is dumped into your system as throid cells are destroyed.

Thanks for that. I think I understand what you're saying. So free T4 and T3 levels can fluctuate depending on severity of attack from antibodies so to speak?

A month ago your vitamin levels were low

healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

Vitamin D, Ferritin, B12 and folate were all low

Have you been working on improving these ?

Your TSH is rising, but you may struggle to get any medics to treat yet.

Hi SlowDragon. Thanks for your response. Yes I have. I've increased vitamin D (Better You spray with K2) to 5000 (5 sprays). I've started Jarrows B12 sublingual. I'm making sure to eat red meat once a week otherwise chicken, fish etc. and plenty of veg. Also eating chicken liver pate which is the best I can do as eating actual liver is a step too far for me! I'm making progress with gluten free but far from perfect yet! I'll reply now to your reply to my other post you mention.

Can you repost the calculator ?

Cool. Mine came out to FT4 at 81.82% and FT3 at -36.02%, demonstrating a clear problem with conversion. Thankfully, my PCP (a GP) has prescribed T3.
