The instructions that come with the test should tell you what to stop, if anything.

I do the Regenerus test and there is a form that you fill in when sending samples back, where you list any medication, etc, that you take, and the instructions mention what to do if you take hormones in any form - topical, sublingual, pills, etc., and steroid/cortisol containing medications.

Oh that’s good to know.., that’s the test I’ve ordered... I take my Levo at about 4am/5am in the morning with water and acv..., I go back to sleep and so I presume I then do the 1st test at 8am ?..... I’m currently taking optiferrin C , Vit D3, Magnesium..., I haven’t taken my B vits for a week and have reduced my Selenium (as I read it increases blood sugar and my Hbac1 was only 1 below the top of the range)..... Thanks x

It tells you to do the first test 30 minutes after waking, even if you stay in bed, set the alarm for 30 minutes. I find the first one difficult because I'm up and down all night to the loo about 3 times so I can go as late as about 6.30am but my normal getting up time is nearer 9am. So I may not go back to sleep after the 6.30 loo trip, but it's not my "waking" time.

Yes that’s what I was wondering..., last night I was on and off awake all night, but sometimes I can sleep thru until 6am, but mostly I wake 4/5ish, go to the loo and set my alarm for 7am - so do you think I should do it at 7.30 as that would be my normal get up time?

As you are quite an early riser (compared to me) I wouldn't plan, just see what happens on the morning. They say it's important that the 1st sample is 30 minutes after waking.

You might find these links of use :

Pay particular attention to the red paragraph on the first link. Just dumping something essential that you take could backfire spectacularly. It is still worth doing cortisol saliva testing but you just have to accept that people can't always do the test "perfectly".

Thanks for that..., reading the list think I’m ok..., I guess the only thing I take that’s not mentioned that possibly could affect is cbd oil ?

I have never investigated the effect (or lack of it) of cannabis oil on cortisol, sorry.
