You need to give exact details in order for people to comment more specifically - what is the latest FT4 result, and what is the reference range? Likewise what was the TSH result/range that accompanied that, and were you also tested for FT3?
Hi mandyjane I was on NDT. It didnt work for me . Im on 75 mcg levo and 10mcg T3 .
Couldnt understand the high t4 test with no change on my part .
Unfortunate that doc took that test. My concern is the anemia results which is why I went to GP ☹️. I am hoping to get help with anemia . Now looks like those results might force other changes they will try to make.
I am to return to same gp and will point out that past T4 is usually 15/16 in range . BUT , well you know how NUMBERS are their god ! ☹️
Gcart. What is your pulse. That is the ultimate guide for dosing. You risk ending up with an unnessasary dose reduction if you flag this up. Which would be a real shame if you are well. If you want a reduction DIY I would suggest, let the DR keep you on the same dose, build up a stock incase they try to reduce you again sometime. Devious aren't I
Your pulse is fine 92 within normal range 75 good as well and suggestive that if you needed a small increase it would not do any harm. YOu pulse was slightly raised at appointment due to stress and anxiety and movement to get there. The resting pulse is the better dosing guide. Ideally before getting out of bed.
Luckily for me my pulse has never been used bu GPs in the sixty odd years I have been hypo. It is seldom slow, if that was the ultimate test I would possibly be dead by now. I do not think there is any one factor where we are all the same.
