What extra tests do I need to get privately?

So as a few of you who've offered advice will know, I got diagnosed on 14 Jan 2019 and started levothyroxine on 15 Jan 2019. My 1st blood tests to see if my 75mg levothyroxine needs titrating is on 25 Feb 2019. The form my gp gave me for this is attached. Would you please cast your eyes on what tests (apart from the obvious vitamins one) is missing from this form? I'll get those done privately. Thank you.

Hi

I see they aren’t testing your T3.

Don’t be surprised if you only received TSH results only despite your GP requesting TSH, & T4.

Some labs are not testing T4 despite it being requested.

You need TSH, T4 & T3 testing (full thyroid), GP’s and some Endocrinologist don’t think T3 is important, but since being on here it’s the most important one.

Best Wishes

Vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 ....unless you can persuade Gp to test

Both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies. NHS only tests a TG antibodies if TPO are high

All tests need to be done first thing in the morning, fasting (water only), 24 hours after last levo dose.

Free t3 and Tg antibodies are missing, but you need to get all the tests done in one blood draw so you can see how they relate to each other. If you are paying for private tests get:

TSH

Free t4

Freet3

TPO antibodies

TG antibodies

Ferritin

folate

B12

vitamin D

Medicheck were excellent in running my tests within a day. Here is what they've found:

Inflammation

CRP - High sensitivity X 15.31 mg/L (Range: < 5)

Iron Status

FERRITIN 78.4 ug/L (Range: 13 - 150)

Vitamins

Serum Folate 18.3 ug/L (Range: > 3.89)

Active B12 49.800 pmol/L (Range: 37.5 - 188)

25 OH Vitamin D 60.8 nmol/L (Range: 50 - 175)

Thyroid Hormones

THYROID STIMULATING HORMONE 1.73 mIU/L (Range: 0.27 - 4.2)

FREE T3 3.99 pmol/L (Range: 3.1 - 6.8)

FREE THYROXINE 16.500 pmol/L (Range: 12 - 22)

Autoimmunity

Thyroglobulin Antibody 49.900 kU/L (Range: < 115)

Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies X 357 kIU/L (Range: < 34)

I still feel tired, foggy headed, burning muscles and joints and no will to exercise and weight is still on. I was hoping the dose of Levo I'm on is not right but this report shows it is. I was also hoping I need T3 but this report again shows I don't?

Medicheck report is as follows and my question is do I have Hashimoto's?

Doctor's Overview

I note that you have recently been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and started on 125mcg of levothyroxine. Your thyroid hormones are currently normal indicating that the dose is appropriate. Your thyroid peroxidase antibodies are elevated. This antibody is commonly associated with autoimmune thyroid disease. It is frequently seen in conditions such as Hashimoto’s disease (where the thyroid becomes underactive). This indicates that there is an autoimmune cause for your thyroid.
