Please help, very wonky labs:

So first off, thank you all that have helped me out and answered.... means sooo much.

I literally wrote now three weeks ago I was in limbo in what to do. I’ve been on a custom made T4 dosage of 143 mcg for a year. That is when I found 150 too high and 137 too low. Back in October, I had mono and my TSH raised to 5... but since I had a thyroidectomy, I need to be on Levo. However, I was feeling a bit more tired end of days, I’ve lost weight (which is ok, actually), and I would get numbness and tingling in my hands, especially now as I have my phone lifted up in front of me in bed. So, it seems to many feel better on a lowered dose of Levo. The lowest I’ve been on is 125 but I’ve never felt ok. The highest was 200 and talk about mentally devoid. Sooo, I’ve had bloods done and found that my FT4 was .9 (range .7 - 1.5), FT3 is 2.1 (1.7 - 3.7), and my TSH is now 9.96!!

Ok, how does this happen?? My FT3 is usually low but I’ve been wanting to lower my T4 for a longgggg time. I feel like my labs are never regular but this seems off. So my doc decided to go up to 150 and it’s only been 4 days but I am so scared and hesitant of going worse. I’ve fought for pituitary testing which has had mine prolactin high if you’ve seen my prior posts, but I am traumatized by this and wonder if there is any validity to what has caused an increase. Does raising 7 mcg sound right? T3 is a love/hate thing with me as sometimes my T3 jumps, albeit rare, but it tends to stay low... which makes me think that maybe that’s my norm or that my body hates me. So, does one increase? Request to stay at 143? Or lower to 135 and take the 5 of T3? I’ve been feeling extra emotional since raising and not sure if that’s an added side effect but I don’t like it. Thank you! I’m seeing my doc today so wanted help.

I read through some of your old posts.

Have you checked other issues besides thyroid?

Specifically:

fasting glucose

fasting insulin

a1c

postprandial insulin (or a glucose tolerance test)

morning cortisol

cortisol saliva

ferritin

vitamin d

b12

Your total t3 was low being less than 100.

2 often overlooked prime regulators of t3 conversion are glutathione and insulin.

You can try OTC insulin sensitizers, just in case: Lipoic acid (ALA) and chromium are safe generally.

To raise glutathione eat >100 gram of protein per day and add bone broth or glycine. The aminos cysteine and glycine are rate limiting for glutathione.

I hope you find some help.
