Thyroid issues??

Hi Everyone, i am writing in the hope of getting opinions. For the last month or so I have had a feeling of a lump in my throat, however this lump sometimes goes away, sometimes its quite annoying and an obvious feeling in my throat. ( U/S booked in tomorrow). For the past 2 weeks I have been feeling faint and dizzy, went into Costco on a hot day ( I live in Sydney, Aus) and almost passed out, felt very hot, dizzy and sweaty, legs like jelly and had to get out of there. Wasnt sure if it was anxiety or because there was so many people in there. However same thing happened while sitting at my desk at 8am with the aircon on, I was so hot and could feel the sweat on my forehead despite having the aircon on blast right next to me. Feeling vertigo/passing out/world spinning several times. Started looking up my symptoms and thought overactive thyroid maybe matched my symptoms- anxiety, intolerance to heat, sweating, dizziness etc. Had blood tests and my thyroid is normal? My TSH is 0.72.. Ferritin is 18, B12 is 215 and Active b12 is 21. I dont eat meat/eggs/etc so any ideas? Thanks

Melissa

I have hypo thyroid I have dealt with many issues 4 years all my test come out fine no problem yet I went to the point that I was so ill and yet after being put through so much a doctor tested me for about 15 days including sat and sun at 10 am and after all these years many doctors and major hospitals. I finally was told I had a hormone producing tumor on my adrenal gland called pheochromocytoma. What I want to tell you is that you need more testing done and second opinion and to be truthful after all these years and given medicine that made me sicker keep reaching out on this sight you will be more informed and get help from others that have dealt with this. I still have a thyroid with over 20 nodules lesions a goiter taking levothyoxine for many years just to find out that my levels on this medicine is the same a year later off of the medicine everybody reacts different me I get the worst side affects from almost everything I can't give you much advice my medical condition is dealing from a head on car accident so I have alot to deal with just don't give up .My doctor finally admitted that he has never had a patient that he has no idea how to treat me. He is the one that found my adrenal tumor and now many other issues he is testing me for.Wish you the best keep reading. You will find a lot of doctors find it hard to treat this condition .And from what I read about others with issues have complained about being treated

These post were helpful and now I need to read and find out what is going on within my system. thanks for the post. I shall do as you say and absorb information. What would you do if you were starting with this lump, knowing what you know now?

You need to add the ranges on these results for members to comment

Ferritin and iron look low, but we always need ranges of all tests. Each laboratory is different

Vitamin D needs testing too

If your vegetarian presumably you have always been supplementing B12?

If not, do NOT start until been fully tested by GP for Pernicious Anaemia
