I was in a rush and took my NDT as normal in the morning of the blood test at 11.30. Absolutely stupid of me. I rang today for the results and my T3 is 7 (3-6). So question, dear readers, what would you think this would be if numpty here had not taken her pills?
Cross as phoned for my results, and was told "only a couple have come through, normal, no action", all said in a rush. I questioned what the T3 was, and was put on hold. She came back and said "7, so over range!". I asked for the TSH result to be told "oh, only that one has come through, phone Monday!" So the first answer was obviously a stock response, and a lie. BUT if I did not know any better, I would have believed her....
Moral of the story - ALWAYS get a print out of your results!
They have messed up my prescription for HRT too - my usual one has been discontinued so the lovely young MALE GP put me on another that has a monthly bleed. I am a pensioner. I have now run out of the usualy HRT, but it is OK, because they "will sort it next week". I have a feeling I will be ready to rip heads off by then!
Watch the headlines for West Wales papers "Blonde Pensioner runs amok"!!!
