Am I right in thinking if my T4 had dropped from 17 to 14,
and I think this is due to elverol -oestrogen patches , do I add more thyroxine to get it up?
I’m on 125mg thyroxine
And 40 of T3
Thank you all in advance of any help/support 🎈

Suin,
Yes, taking oestrogen replacement can effect the workings of thyroid hormone by increasing a protein called TBG (thyroid binding globulin), which binds the thyroid hormone, so decreasing the amount of available that can be assimilated into and utilised by the cells.
However, I would say your low FT4 results and over range FT3 are indicative of what and the amounts you are medicating.
I wouldn’t increase/decrease or do anything without an up-to-date blood test including thyroid and sex hormones, because elevated T3 is known to drive up SHBG (sex hormone binding globulin) and this again could be binding too much thyroid hormone (no matter how much is in the blood stream).
As SlowDragon suggested in your previous post, you also need to get Vitamin D, folate and ferritin tested. Your Vit B12 result of 300 is too low and should be supplemented.
Thank you, it’s so hard to get the doctors to listen, and they take offence when I ask for specific tests, but no harm in trying. I know I’d read somewhere about oestrogen and thyroid, 💭 I’d used b12 jags for the deficiency charity but some results still didn’t go up. I must search for those results. I seem to tackle my illnesses in fits and starts, for I’m too exhausted. Then I never seem to get very far up the healthy ladder 😟
