If you increase your T3 it will raise your FT3.

If you increase your Levo it should raise your FT4 and because T4 converts to T3 it may raise your FT3 as well.

Thank you so much

I must save that information xx

How many mg do you feel I should increase T4 with? Much thanks

Changes in dose of Levo should be 25mcg at a time, retesting 6-8 weeks later. When getting close to optimal dose fine tuning may be better done with 12.5mcg or even 6.25mcg, I've tweaked with an even smaller dose and found a difference.

Many thanks

I’d been worried 25 might be too much, but if I get hyper symptoms I can reduce the dose. Much thanks 💐

If you feel OK, it is fine to have low FT4 when you are taking T3. Some people need it higher. I don't

I don’t feel at all well, although I can’t say I felt well when it was higher either.

I’m doing guesswork

I’ve started back on Vit D and some supplements

But doing a bit of investigation on my B12 at the moment too. Thank you 😊

How much T4 do you think I should increase my dose with? Would 25mg daily be too much? Maybe an extra 25mg

3 days a week?

If it was me, I'd take an extra 25mcg of levo a day (or 5mcg of T3 if you decided to increase that), but you know how you feel

Thank you I’ll maybe try the 25mg first

Although many’s a time I think I should be on T3 only 💐

When on any form of T3 then results are read differently. TSH should be suppressed. FT4 can fall in its range but FT3 should be high in its range, in the top quarter so your readings are pretty good. Have you looked at testing Vit D, B12, folate and ferritin? These help your thyroid to work much better but need to be optimal. Lots of us supplement because as thyroid patients we tend to lose essential vitamins so need to keep them where they should be. I would test those but remember they need to be optimal, not just in range and that could make the difference.

Yes thoyou

I realise T3 tends to be suppressed and FT4 may drop, but mine has been dropping gradually without a change of dose. Although I stopped Fluoxetine back in May, unless that has impacted on my results?

My folate and B12 are low in range, I’m having them retested along with MMA to try and get to the bottom of 30 yrs of exhaustion.

How much should I raise T4? Do you feel?

I think first you should look at making sure vitsetc are optimal as that can take time to build if if you are low as once those are working well then other levels will benefit. Best to see where that puts things but repost if you are struggling still to get them high enough though from my experience they should make difference or may show up a problem elsewhere. I’m not sure of what the drug does that you have stopped but that may well help as well. I really struggled when I was put on I think it was an antibiotic and it was a nightmare fitting everything in so things were far enough apart. I seem to remember setting the alarm at intervals throughout the night so I could juggle better. In the mean time get as much rest as you can do as not to deplete levels quickly till medication builds up.
