Hi

Has anyone tried this Thyroid replacement? I have heard that it’s good and you don’t need a script?

It's not thyroid hormone replacement. It's what we call a glandular. It contains unspecified amounts of thyroid hormone - if any.

Thanks Greygoose Yes I understand it’s a glandular with no specific amounts of what it contains Was just wondering if anyone is on it and with what results as I’ve heard from a few people who say it helped them but it’s not very helpful or safe in my opinion taking something that doesn’t specify what the dose might be especially when diagnosed with hypothyroidism.

No, I don't think it is.

I have not had any experience with that particular brand of glandular, but I have known others to try different bovine glandular products. One in particular I learned about here out of New Zealand I believe. It didn’t help anyone that I know of. My suspicion is that they need something stronger and there’s just not enough of the thyroid glandular substance to help someone who has a problem of any significance. That’s a shame too - because many people just don’t have access for one reason or another to proper thyroid replacement . But again these are just my thoughts and my experience through the few people that I’ve known that tried it. I’ve read about people who did receive relief and it was here on HealthUnlocked then I read about it.

Hello Ali! I am currently ,on Thyrovanz and I liked it. It’s easy to realize, that 50 mg is half grain it’s means, it’s like 30 mg bein on ERFA NDT

100 mg it’s 1 grain of NDT. Add slowly, every 7-10 days . You have to check your 3pm temperature , it’s have to be around 36.9-37.0 C.

Esya47, how did you find out that Thyrovanz 50 = 1/2 gr? I just switched from Naturethroid, and the line of grog that used go through my eyes is gone. My thinking is fine, but I'm so sleepy after I eat. I just learned from this post that I'm operating with at least a half gr less than what I'm used to. It's very interesting to have the annoying horizontal grog replaced with being sleepy after food. I simply can't have anything but celery juice in the am, or some other kind of green juice. Thanks for the post.

Brand name Cytomel, generic name liothyronine . I think,I do not convert T4 to T3 this is a reason I add T3.Its only by Rx . I live in USA ,Miami Florida

I made my research on line and on Thyrovanz web side!

In addition was increasing slowly for 7-10 days . At 3 pm checked my temperature ,it have to be 36.9-37.0 by C. I use to be 4 yrs ago onErfa NDT

60 mg ,I know it’s 1 grain ,on Thyrovanz need more , around 100 mg. Because Thyrovanz is not so strong. I Check my blood test every 3-4 months. It’s important how do you feel after each step of increasing amount of your meds.

Ok. In another post you mentioned that 50 mg = 1/2 gr; but here you say 60. I will check it out. I've been taking 100, and I'm sleepy after eating, but not groggy. There is a difference for me. I had stopped taking my temperature. I'll try it again. But the T3 interests me. Tell me what it is. Thank you!
