There have been a number of posts of members complaining of thinning hair or hair loss altogether.
I came across this link which is informative and could be helpful. I think I'd get a blood test first to see if we have a zinc deficiency because we may not, so no point in supplementing.
When should zinc be taken? I bought some a few weeks ago and haven't worked out how to incorporate into the daily supplement routine yet. Not within a couple of hours of Levo of course, but what else shouldn't it be taken with or near?
This is part of the directions, to see more click on the link:-
Zinc supplements are most effective if they are taken at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals. However, if zinc supplements cause stomach upset, they may be taken with a meal. You should tell your health care professional if you are taking your zinc supplement with meals.
Dosing
The dose medicines in this class will be different for different patients. Follow your doctor's orders or the directions on the label. The following information includes only the average doses of these medicines. If your dose is different, do not change it unless your doctor tells you to do so.
The amount of medicine that you take depends on the strength of the medicine. Also, the number of doses you take each day, the time allowed between doses, and the length of time you take the medicine depend on the medical problem for which you are using the medicine.
