Medications on a flight

Hello will I have any problems taking ndt and T3 and naltrexone on a flight from the uk via Canada to the Caribbean? I have diagnosed Hashimotos but only get prescribed levothyroxine which I don’t take.

Really don’t want my medication confiscated.

Never had any problems with any tablets- assume you are only taking enough for you, dose for your trip plus say few extra days’ worth? I take a prescription copy with me, but like you don’t have one with T3 on only T4...but that indicates a need for thyroid meds. Never needed to show prescription, only ever had problem with insulin as it’s a liquid needs to be shown separately but only same as for eg toothpaste!

I doubt it. People need their medications when they travel I'm sure that's understood. My daughter brought several boxes of T3 with her when she was on a cruise. As long as it's a legal drug I don't think it would be a problem.

Never had a problem ... and anyway, thyroid meds are hormones not drugs 😊

Thank you that’s reassuring. Don’t know whether to keep them in their original packaging or separate them into a smaller commodity. Would hate to run the risk of confiscation!

Leave in original packaging and keep a copy of your prescription to hand to be absolutely certain there will be no problems. Enjoy your trip x

I’ve just flown to Mexico with my tablets in habd luggage. Left them in original packaging which shows dosage etc. Nobody batted an eyelid! You should be OK.

Thanks, I found an endocrinologist’s letter that said I take ndt and T3 so I took that. They wanted to chuck my voltorol pain killer gel which made me quite scared, as I broke a toe on Christmas Eve. But I managed to keep it.

I’ve now got to go through Canada security. They have massive signs saying you need to declare any cannibis related products.

I have some hemp oil capsules that look like fish oil tablets. One per day of my stay - 10 days. I am not saying anything. Fingers crossed
