Endo appointment

Hi all, I saw the endo today, very pleasant doctor. He has told me there is no problem because my blood tests were normal, and to be fair they do fall within the normal ranges. I asked if my TG antibodies, being significantly high, was a concern (this was a private test as not tested on NHS) he told me that they hold no significance which is why the NHS do not test, he would only be concerned if my TPO anti bodies were high and only then if my TSH was abnormal. Can anyone explain what TG anti bodies do signify, I’m getting pretty confused. Thank you

Thanks, as a nurse, bones is my thing, I have learnt so much about the thyroid recently, not sure it has helped me but it has certainly made me a better advocate for my patients. Lots I could say but probably better said privately, your help has been invaluable x
