Looking at your previous post, see your GP incorrectly reduced your dose just on basis of TSH and FT4

You are now under medicated, vitamin levels likely have dropped as direct result

TSH should be between 0.4 -1.5 on Levothyroxine

New NHS England Liothyronine guidelines November 2018. Clearly states on pages 8 & 12 that TSH should be under 1.5 on Levothyroxine

Your high TPO antibodies confirm reason you are hypothyroid is you have Hashimoto's also called autoimmune thyroid disease. Did you know this?

Are you on strictly gluten free diet?

If not, ask GP for coeliac blood test first before considering trying it for 3-6 months. If it helps, then stick on it

According to Izabella Wentz the Thyroid Pharmacist approx 5% with Hashimoto's are coeliac, but over 80% find gluten free diet helps, sometimes significantly. Either due to direct gluten intolerance (no test available) or due to leaky gut and gluten causing molecular mimicry (see Amy Myers link)

Changing to a strictly gluten free diet may help reduce symptoms, help gut heal and slowly lower TPO antibodies

Vitamin D is too low. Dose needs increasing. Aiming to improve to at least 80nmol and around 100nmol may be better .

Vitamin D mouth spray by Better You is good as avoids poor gut function of Hashimoto's

It's trial and error what dose each person needs.

Once you Improve level, very likely you will need on going maintenance dose to keep it there.

Retesting twice yearly via vitamindtest.org.uk

Government recommends everyone supplement vitamin D October to April

B12 is borderline insufficient and folate result needs repeating

Is Blue Horizon redoing folate test?

Low vitamin D and low B vitamins may be linked

Ferritin is slightly raised, common result of Hashimoto's. Likely due to increase in inflammation due to dose reduction of Levothyroxine meaning you are now under medicated

In future, refuse to reduce dose based solely on just TSH and FT4 tests. It's completely inadequate.

Thankyou for your response. What you’ve said is pretty much what I suspected but I’m finding all this so confusing. I was only diagnosed last year am I’m still trying to educate myself and understand everything. I will book an appointment with my gp and take my results with me. I feel like because I don’t fully know what I’m talking about the gps just use this to fob you off and blind you with science. Need to start learning and understanding it all.
